Now I have modern controls and mousework, along with 4 full episodes and 3 expansion packs for over 50 levels of Duke goodness. At least, that was until the Atomic Edition came out, which has been further enhanced with the Megaton Edition release. But I admit that as time has gone by, I've gotten used to modern FPS controls, so dealing with arrow keys and limited mouselook has cramped things.

I can safely say I'll never be going back to the PS2 copies.Ģ. (The fog area around where you first fight Griffon). No idea why, and I can't remember if it was like this in the original game, but that's the only weird technical hiccup I ran into. In the first game there is this one area that suffers from slowdown if you back track to it. I didn't notice anything, but it could have been terribly out of sync and I wouldn't have really cared either. People complained about audio issues (dialogue not syncing with animation or something), but. I haven't gotten to 3 yet, but 1 and 2 were spot on and it felt exactly like playing the original games. I know the games pretty well and everything seems perfect. I need to spend more time with it! Since it seems you have the same love for the game(s), did you find any weird issues with the "upgraded" port? I have this collection but have only spent enough time with it to clear the first few levels of the first game. I would say it's the predecessor to Ken Griffey (the first one) on the snes, but has better controls. It's a perfect game to listen to music while playing. You need to think on every play, every pitch, every throw, etc. The controls make sense: Up is second base, right is first, and so on. The graphics are top notch, as is the gameplay.

I need to get on Galaxy Force II soon.ĬHI NL became a world series champ in Reggie Jackson Baseball, which I would argue is the best 8-bit baseball game. This is one of those games that makes the argument that the SMS > NES. It's After Burner in space, and if that doesn't sell you, the graphics and music will. Galaxy Force is a must have for any SMS owner. Much more difficult than the Genesis version, much more uglier, and not a game I would ever recommend. This was my first SEGA at home game, and I didn't care how awful it was I had Altered Beast at home, and that was all that mattered.
